The Meaning Behind the Guscoord Logo
The name "Guscoord" in our firm’s title is a combination of “Gusuku” (meaning "castle" in Okinawan) and the English word “Coordinate.”
In ancient Okinawa, gusuku were not only sacred spaces and the residences of rulers, but also centers of governance where various skilled professionals—"shi" or scholars—came together and coordinated to administer political affairs.
Inspired by this, we named our firm "Guscoord" to reflect a vision where modern-day professionals—legal, financial, HR, and business specialists such as judicial scriveners, tax accountants, labor and social security attorneys, certified management consultants, administrative scriveners, and lawyers—collaborate in unity, and welcome clients as if into a castle (in Okinawa).
Our logo symbolizes this concept, incorporating the kanji character 士 ("shi," meaning professional) and the image of a gusuku’s stone walls.
